Casa Haartman

Welcome to Casa Haartman

Casa Haartman was the home and studio of artist Axel Haartman (1877-1969) and his wife Hedvig (1874-1967). The house was designed by Finnish architect Erik Bryggman in 1925, in the Nordic Classicist style. The austere exterior in combination with the richly decorated interior create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Casa Haartman houses works by Axel Haartman himself, as well as some of the most well-known Finnish artists of the 19th and 20th century, such as Helene Schjerfbeck, Victor Westerholm and Wäinö Aaltonen.
